Brightening with Porcelain Crowns
J is a 25 year old with unsightly crowns on his front teeth that were placed when he was a teenager after a sporting injury. Dr. Hobbs replaced his old porcelain/metal crowns with more natural all porcelain crowns and recontoured the height of his gumline.
#1Dental Bonding
This is a teenager who neglected his mouth. He drank sodas throughout the day and did not brush. First, he changed his habits, then Dr. Hobbs bonded his front teeth with composite filling material.
#2Porcelain Crowns & Veneers
This 64 year old lady did not like the discoloration of her teeth and the multiple patchwork white fillings. Dr. Hobbs placed porcelain crowns and veneers on her front teeth for an even and natural result.
#3Natural-looking Fillings
This is an example of conservative dentistry to provide natural-looking results. Dr. Hobbs restored cavitated lesions and replaced her silver filling with a resin filling material.
#4Restoring Strength with Posterior Crowns
This is an example of restoring posterior “back” teeth with natural looking replacements. The picture on the right shows crowns on the back 3 teeth on the top. All porcelain was used on 2 and porcelain/metal was used on the back top tooth for strength and durability.
#5Full Mouth Restoration
This retiree was ready to fix his teeth so he could chew again. He did not have many teeth that ‘met‘ to chew against, therefore he overused his front teeth. He did not want an unnatural ‘bright white‘ look and he also wanted to keep his trademark gap between his front teeth.
#6.1Full Mouth Restoration
This is the same gentleman. You can see the change in the way he smiles. His before picture is the biggest smile he would give me. His after smile is his ‘real’ smile. He is a happy man, now he shows it!
#6.2Full Mouth Restoration
This is to show the heavy wear on his front teeth due to overuse. He ‘wore down’ his teeth near to the nerve.
#6.3Smile Transformation with Crowns & Bonding
This is immediately after restoring severely decayed teeth with crowns and bonding. Two hours later, this 35 year old man could smile again confidently.
#7Tooth Recontouring for a Dramatic Effect
This is a before and after of a great smile - it is not a noticeable difference until you see the next slide…
